About us

Who are we?

Eye & Dunsden Village Hall is a registered charity (no. 273293) managed by a board of volunteer trustees with the help of a part-time hall manager and bookings manager – see below. We are currently seeking to recruit some new trustees. The work is occasional and very rewarding.

Address:   Eye & Dunsden Village Hall, Dunsden Green, RG4 9QG, Oxfordshire.

Eye & Dunsden Village Hall is conveniently situated just ten minutes from Henley and Reading. It is in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside on the Chiltern ridge above Sonning in Berkshire.  There is plenty of free parking on site.

Coming from the Henley on the A4155, turn right up Memorial Avenue (signed to Binfield Heath), turn right at the T-junction just after Shiplake Primary School.  Continue past ‘Orwells’ to the village of Binfield Heath and then turn left in front of Binfield Heath Stores onto Dunsden Way.  The Village Hall is approx. 1 mile down Dunsden Way on the left hand side just before you reach the Village Green in Dunsden.

Coming from Reading on the A4155 Henley Road, turn left at the Playhatch roundabout (just after the garden centre and Travis Perkins), continue up the hill past ‘The Shoulder of Mutton’ and ‘The Crown’.  The Village Hall can be found on the right hand side just after Dunsden Village Green.

Charitable contributions

Eye & Dunsden village hall is a registered charity. Volunteer trustees and our paid staff work hard to ensure a regular flow of income from bookings, but we also need your support to ensure that our hall is fit for the future. The hall’s roof is in need of replacement and we have plans to re-develop the small kitchen and grounds.

Our existence depends on the generosity of people like you.  Why not consider holding a fund-raising event for the hall, or donate to our appeal fund? You can also sign-up for our ‘Give as you live’ scheme which means all your online purchases contribute to our cause at no cost to you.
